UWIT Quantum Computers 2018

Upstate Women in Technology presents, “Quantum Computers” on Thursday, November 8th, 2018 at City Range Restaurant in Greenville.

Over 50 years of advances in mathematics, materials science, and computer science have transformed quantum computing from theory to reality. Today, real quantum computers can be accessed through the cloud, and many thousands of people have used them to learn, conduct research, and tackle new problems.
Quantum computers could one day provide breakthroughs in many disciplines, including materials and drug discovery, the optimization of complex systems, and artificial intelligence. But to realize those breakthroughs, and to make quantum computers widely usable and accessible, we need to re-imagine information processing and the machines that do it.

In this Lunch & Learn session, you will get an introduction including links to where you can learn more and even write your first quantum computing program!
Our Lunch & Learn starts networking at 11:30; lunch and presentation runs from 12:00 – 1:00. Please register at www.uwitsc.com for $20 or pay $25 at the door. For more information, please call Jill Rose at 864-908-0105 or email at uwitsc@outlook.com.
